UGC Net Commerce Syllabus (Updated)

Commerce is one of the most popular subjects among students for cracking UGC Net Exam. This is because, Maximum selections in UGC Net Examination are from Commerce subject only. Preparing for UGC Net commerce examination requires an effective strategy tailored to the requirements of each particular aspirant.

Revised UGC Net Commerce Syllabus replaces the earlier pattern of 2 subject papers and 1 general paper. Now there are only two papers - General Paper and Subject (Commerce) Paper. The syllabus has been revamped keeping in view the changing academic requirements and has been given a practical orientation. Now, the syllabus of UGC Net Commerce examination comprises of ten units as shown below:

The next unit in revised UGC Net Commerce syllabus comprises of following topics:

Unit X – Income-tax and Corporate Tax Planning

The next unit in revised UGC Net Commerce syllabus comprises of following topics:

  • Income-tax: Basic concepts; Residential status and tax incidence; Exempted incomes; Agricultural income; Computation of taxable income under various heads; Deductions from Gross total income; Assessment of Individuals; Clubbing of incomes
